Jimmy Fellbaum
I have always had a deep appreciation for learning and a passion for sharing ideas with others. My upbringing instilled in me a strong belief in the transformative power of education and the vital role that teachers and administrators play in shaping the lives of our scholars.
As a proud Texas Aggie, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Coaching. Recognizing the importance of leadership in education, I pursued a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from TWU. I began my career teaching and coaching in Scurry-Rosser ISD before joining the CFB family in 2008. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving students at both the middle and high school levels, holding various positions at Field, Perry, and now here at Newman Smith High School.

Juniors
Malcom Watson
Driven by a passion to empower all students, Malcolm Watson brings two decades of experience to Newman Smith High School. Previously serving in CFB schools for 11 years, Mr. Watson has worn many hats – a dedicated teacher, coach, mentor, and administrator.
His philosophy centers on fostering well-rounded individuals. He believes in encouraging students to dream big, persevere through challenges, and develop strong character. His goal is to ignite a love for lifelong learning and equip students with the skills to become productive, impactful global citizens who can lead in any social, academic, or business setting.
A proud product of the Dallas area, Mr. Watson graduated from Skyline High School. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University, where he actively participated in the men's track team and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Further enriching his qualifications, he obtained a Master's Degree in Sport Management from Texas A&M University.
Beyond his dedication to Newman Smith, Mr. Watson finds joy in spending quality time with his wife, supporting his children's activities, staying active through workouts, and enjoying a friendly game of basketball. He is excited to serve Trojan Nation, relentlessly committed to empowering students to reach their full potential.

Freshmen
Valery Villanueva
My name is Valery Villanueva, and I’m thrilled to be returning to NSHS as an Assistant Principal! Originally from El Paso, Texas, I spent 10 years as a CTE teacher and department supervisor before moving to Dallas in 2019. In 2020, Dr. Jimenez welcomed me into the Trojan family, where I continued in my CTE role before transitioning to CCMR Dean in 2021. While proudly serving as a CCMR Dean, I’ve truly enjoyed helping students explore and prepare for their post-secondary paths.
I’m excited to begin the 2025–2026 school year alongside all of you. I look forward to connecting with each of you, supporting your goals, and contributing to a successful and memorable school year!
