The Newman Smith Visual Art Department is pleased to announce some exciting news! For the fourth consecutive year, a student from our school has qualified for the State VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) competition, and for the fourth year in a row, we have brought home a medal!

Trojan Corner the school-based enterprise at Newman Smith High School was among 154 school-based enterprises achieving Gold for the 2025-2026 school year and will be recognized during DECA’s International Career Development Conference this April 25-28, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.
